Post Wedding Shoot: Karekare Beach, Auckland
It was a sunny Auckland afternoon. Mike and Helen wanted to gift their families from New Zealand and Australia with a surprise wedding! The idea might leave some people with shock but for me, it was an awesome idea and the perfect way to elicit the purest of emotions. So there we were in Piha Beach the day after their families found out of the ceremony. With a simple yet elegant setup, this intimate beach wedding went smoothly and it produced one of my best works yet!
The post wedding shoot was a twenty minute drive from Piha Beach to Kare-Kare beach. We came just as golden hour was about to start. The magic was evidently present as soon as we started shooting. I was personally overjoyed by the look of love they had which was complimented by the beautiful scenery and light. Truly this reminds why I love the profession and the art of wedding photography.
